The first place webmasters should go to are popular search engines such as Yahoo, Excite, Infoseek, Webcrawler, etc. From the main page of the search engine, look for the "Add URL" section. Once in there, you can submit your site for free to the search engine! Another popular way is to get involved in the Internet Linkexchange program. By creating a banner, (400 X 600 pixels) and placing an HTML code on your page, your banner is put into an ad rotation where it is advertised on other sites. This is highly recommended if you have a good graphics designer. Another good strategy is to have a "link deal" with another popular website.
