Stillman shoots down Stars
Cory
Stillman had 3 goals and an assist in leading the Blues to a
5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars! This is Cory's
3rd career hat trick and second straight against the Dallas Stars. Stillman
scored a goal in each of the three periods to record his first
hat trick with the Blues. Stillman completed the hat trick when
he took a pass from Chris Pronger at the blue line and beat Turco at 7:43
of the 3rd period of play.
"This game is all about confidence," Stillman said. "When you have
it, you play well. When you have
the puck, you make great decisions. Earlier in the season, that wasn't
happening for me. I wasn't doing the little things. I struggled early and
I've taken some heat about it. I deserved it. I haven't lived up to my
expectations.
"Sometimes,
I don't show a lot of emotions and I get sometimes in trouble for that,"
Stillman said. "This game is one: confidence, and two: emotions. Obviously,
you have guys jump around and guys run around and scream and I'm not one
of those guys."
Stillman
also had an assist on Scott Young's second-period goal and matched a career
high with four points.
